BIFF's mission is to promote global film culture and to provide a platform for international exchange of film-making. Through the film, we hope to build a bridge between the cultures of the world, show the diversity and depth of film art, stimulate the audience's thoughts and feelings.
Global Vision: Our Festival is not limited to Switzerland and Europe, but is global, inviting films from different countries and regions to participate.
Variety of types: film festival covers long films, short films, documentaries, animation and other types, and strive to make every form of film can be given due attention and recognition.
Cutting-edge platform: we focus on identifying and supporting new filmmakers, giving them an opportunity to showcase their work and build relationships with the film industry.
Film Screening: a selection of the best films from around the world, will be screened in various theaters in Bern.
Exchange and discussion: we will hold a series of symposiums and seminars, allowing filmmakers and audiences to talk directly about the story behind the film and creative ideas.
Awards ceremony: We Will Present Awards including Best Picture, Best Director and audience selection awards to individuals and teams who have performed well in the making of films.
The 3rd Biff will continue to promote the spirit of diversity and innovation, to bring the audience a high-quality film experience, and through the film to promote cultural exchange and collision.
